ATK Lauds Fin Feather & Fur

A familiar face was presented the ATK 2007 Dealer of the Year Award at this year’s SHOT Show, in Las Vegas. Mike Goschinski was honored for the second year in a row, and for the third time in four years.

Goschinski’s Ohio-based Fin Feather & Fur Outfitters continues to improve on its recent success. After taking home last year’s award, thanks to a 30 percent increase in overall sales, the retailer increased business by nearly the same amount in 2007.  

At the presentation, Goschinski noted that winning this award for the third time was due to the employees “that work with me and have stood by me.” He also said his third win was due to “ATK and our extremely talented sales rep.”

“Once you get behind a company product line, and that company gets behind you, it’s like a marriage that works very well,” he said. “ATK’s product line, from trap throwers to bipods to rests to ammunition, just really fits our business model.”

Goschinski has found that ATK truly supports the independent dealer. “The terms, and things like freight, are easy to work with,” he said. “They’ve figured out how to do business with the independent dealer. And it’s working. Hopefully other dealers see this as the company they want to work with.”

ATK’s Premium Partner program, created to help dealers such as Fin Feather & Fur Outfitters succeed in today’s competitive market, has been in place for six years and has grown to more than 1,300 participants. “Our Premium Partners are a vital part of our business,” said director of domestic sales Mike Halleron. “Without them, we wouldn’t be able to succeed.
