SHIELD Sights Ups Commitment to U.S. Market

    News Briefs - January / February 2026

    Shield Sights

Founded in the mid-1980s to provide specialist firearms training and equipment to the U.K. Special Forces and British Army, SHIELD has spent nearly four decades designing and manufacturing some of the world’s most trusted red-dot optics. SHIELD Sights continues to build every optic in-house at its new ISO 9001 factory in Crewkerne, England, delivering British-engineered precision and reliability to users in more than 50 countries.

Although SHIELD Sights has served the U.S. market since 2012 and collaborated with industry leaders, including Trijicon, Walther, Glock, Smith & Wesson, JP Rifles, and Springfield Armory, late 2025 marked a new chapter in the company’s American presence, as it deepened its commitment to the U.S. market with new leadership and expanded dealer initiatives designed to accelerate growth and strengthen relationships across the American shooting industry. The appointment of a new U.S. vice president of sales, a dedicated national rep group, and match sponsorship underscore SHIELD Sights’ growing investment in the American shooting community.

“Our goal isn’t to reintroduce SHIELD Sights to the US. It’s to expand our reach, elevate our service, and ensure that every shooter and dealer in America has access to the innovation, quality, and support that Shield has delivered to elite professionals for decades,” says Seth Fields, vice president of U.S. sales.

SHIELD Sights enhanced U.S. strategy includes expanded dealer support programs featuring SPIF incentives, employee purchase discounts, and marketing initiatives to drive sell-through; comprehensive U.S. inventory ensuring rapid fulfillment and reliability unmatched in the optics industry; and a lifetime limited warranty and a dedicated support team for both dealers and end users.

The company’s product line continues to set benchmarks in red-dot performance. It was the first to design compact red dots for sub-compact pistols with the RMSc and the first to deliver optics capable of co-witnessing with standard-height iron sights. Every optic is designed, manufactured, and assembled in Great Britain, utilizing a now-standardized RMS/RMSc footprint compatible with dozens of pistol platforms and adaptable via low-profile mounting plates.

“SHIELD Sights has never chased trends, we create them,” says James White, CEO of SHIELD Sights. “As the U.S. market evolves, we’re doubling down on what we do best, and that’s precision engineering, innovation, and genuine partnership with our dealers and shooters.” Booth #11056
